Would A Kawasaki Ninja 650R be a better choice than a Ninja 250R?

Would A Kawasaki Ninja 650R be a better choice than a Ninja 250R??? I Am 16 an this will be my first bike.|||rhw125 doesn%26#039;t know what he%26#039;s talking about. the 250r can go around 110 mph, which is plenty fast enough for a responsible/sane rider. for a young person like yourself, you should get the 250R because your insurance will already be thru the roof owning a bike.

you%26#039;ll pay less money on insurance with less cc%26#039;s, save money on gas, and have a great resale value. ive seen used 250%26#039;s sold for the price of a brand new 1 online.

bottom line - seriously consider the 250R. and the 08%26#039;s and 09%26#039;s look way better than the older models. you can always buy your dream bike later when you have the proper experience and money. |||Analyze what kind of driving you are going to be doing. That really depends on where you live. If you live in a rural area - lots of backroads, logging roads, trails, and bush an Enduro would be more suitable than a street bike. That is not to say you cannot pick up another later on, if you find that most of your Enduro driving is on the street. But at least with an Enduro, you can do both. |||Seeing as how you are just starting out, my vote would be for the 250. It%26#039;ll have all the power you need for a beginner. And there%26#039;s nothing wrong with topping out at 80mph for now. Yes you%26#039;ll tire of it after a while. But better that then the bike getting away from you too quickly. You can also find a good used 250 pretty readily as they are a common beginner bike. People pass them on frequently. That%26#039;ll be a plus for you when it comes time to upgrade. As with any new activity that can splatter your carcass across pavement....take it slow. There are skills required there that take practice and sense. And get yourself into an MSF course. It%26#039;ll save your tail a few times over....trust me.

Good luck|||I would stick with something in the middle of those 2 bikes honestly.

a 650R may be too much bike for a new rider.

your best bet is to get a pile so you don%26#039;t feel so bad when you drop it.

oh and you will drop it. there are only 2 kind of bikers.

one%26#039;s that have dropped their bike, and those who will.

|||For your first bike, unless you%26#039;re of small stature, I%26#039;d split the difference and go for a Ninja 500. Enough power to keep you happy for a while, but not so much that you%26#039;ll have to worry about it getting away from you.|||the 250 has like a top speed of 80. doesn%26#039;t go real fast. Id get the 650 unless your really small (145 lbs and lower). Youll get bored of the 250 real fast. when you try to sell youll just lose money. Invest in the 650 now. youll enjoy it longer|||the 250 will have all the power you will need right now, the low weight and seat height will help you gain confidence. also take a rider safety course it will save you time and skin during the learning process.||| Yes just be careful and take your time. Do not try to impress your friends and you will be ok also take a MSF.
