How do I defeat the helicopter boss on chapter 9 of Ninja Gaiden?

I have tried shooting it with the explosive arrows. It kills me all the time by shooting me with its missles. ONLY helpful answers please.|||this what I tried you use explosive or the one with the really complicated name arrows. what I did is when ever it fired the missile i rolled and jumped like crazy across the bridge, and quickly fired an arrow before it got a chance to fire or fly away, and the cool thing about ryu for some strange reason he can actually deflect machine gun bullets for a time. so it might take a while but it works. remember Tuck,duck and roll like hell.
