you know when your on your back then you like jump off onto your feet
like a ninja
whats it called?|||As everyone has already said it%26#039;s called a kip up.
Also, as Bujinkan Ninja rightly said this has nothing to do with Ninjutsu or (deep breath) %26#039;ninjas%26#039;. The premise behind Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu is %26#039;Maximum Damage, Minimum Effort%26#039;. The use of such a move would involve the unnecessary expenditure of energy and therefore, would be very seldom used - if AT ALL!
A kip up (as I understand it) is usually more associated with training regimes as a demonstration of strength and flexibility since considerable strength is required from the abdominals in particular, as well as the major upper and lower back muscle groups and the triceps + pectoralis minor to a lesser extent.
The actual effectiveness of such a move during sparring is very limited. As usual, Hollywood has over emphasized it because it looks flashy and so it has become a stereotypical martial arts move.|||It%26#039;s a kip up.
Why the hell would you think a ninja would do that? That%26#039;s stereotypical and completely false. A ninja would not waste the time and energy to do a kip up. Don%26#039;t talk about things you don%26#039;t know.|||It has nothing to do with ninjas. it is actually a gymnastic move. It is called a kip up. Some martial artist do it. Some katas may have this move in it. But it is not common. Most traditional katas do not use it.
I learned how to do this in 7th grade gym class on gymnastics.
I learned how to do it without using my hands in 9th grade gym class on gymnastics. There were only 2 of of that did it in the 9th grade. It wasn%26#039;t part of the curriculum, but we were the only ones that could do it with our hand so he taught us to do it without hands. The rest of the class had to learn how to do it with their hands.|||Its called a kip up.
