Just wondering if i buy this motorcycle, will i be able to ride on the freeway or highway legally. Thanks for the help.|||most EX250%26#039;s (all but the really really old ones) will hit a legitimate 100+ mph. The speedometer will indicate upwards of 110, but it%26#039;s inaccurate at high speeds - most motorcycle speedometers are.
I wouldn%26#039;t do more than 30 miles of highway riding on a 250 very often. As others have said, it%26#039;s not impossible, but it gets old to be (nearly) maxing the bike out above 10,000 RPM for that long. bad for the bike? not really; but the vibrating will begin to annoy you.
an occasional 100 mile trip probably won%26#039;t be awful, but I wouldn%26#039;t make it a habit. The biggest issue isn%26#039;t really %26quot;passing power,%26quot; it%26#039;s more like %26quot;that idiot doesn%26#039;t see me, i need to accelerate NOW%26quot; power.
most bikes can easily get out of a car or truck%26#039;s way on the highway with a twist of the wrist, and maybe a quick down-shift. The 250 will require a bit more planning, but it can be done.
and it should be legal in all 50 states.|||Very capable of hitting highway speeds, but since it%26#039;s very light I%26#039;d be concerned if you%26#039;ll be on the highway quite a bit. If it%26#039;s mostly highway driving you plan to do, I%26#039;d consider something a bit more substantial - even the Ninja 500 would be more solid - or perhaps Ninja 650 or Suzuki SV 650. Don%26#039;t get me wrong, I love the Ninja 250, but consider what kind of riding you%26#039;re going to be doing before plunking down your cash!|||Quite capable of highway speed, in fact capable of doing 90 mph all day long without fear of damage to the engine. The only 250 imported into the states that is. You will be pushed around by big trucks whizzing by, but that is the price you will pay for a lightweight fuel economical, fun flickable bike.|||No problem! Can get up to 80 mph fairly easily which should be enough for passing. Front end gets feeling pretty light at that point though.|||Why yes it is.
Take look at the web site below to see what the little Ninja is capable of.
I am pretty impressed.|||From what I%26#039;ve heard, Yes - on the highway.
You won%26#039;t have much passing power, but it is highway capable.
