She left the gas on when she stored her ninja over the winter?

The 95 ninja 250 im looking to possibly buy as a starter bike had its gas left on over the winter by its current owner. Now its sputtering and such...what do you think about this? How much could this potentially cost to fix? Do you think its serious the bike has about 14600 miles on it.|||The gas being left on wouldn%26#039;t hurt anything. The fact that the gas is 6 months old would. Drain the old gas, and refill it with fresh fuel. Pull and clean, or change the spark plug. Start it and let it run for a bit, it should smooth out as the new gas gets in the system.|||take the float bowl off and empty the nasty old gas and contaminants out, drain all the gas out of the fuel tank too, then re install the carb float bowl, spray a little starting fluid inside the air intake and fire it up, it might run bad for a second or two, but should straighten up quickly, also change the spark plugs and air filter, and the engine oil|||Carbs sound iced up with old fuel deteriation.

Wip off the bowls clean em out reassemble.

New fuel after draining tank, squirt some easy start into air box give it a go.

I would look at buying it running rough probably a lot cheaper.

Mileage not a problem its a KWAKA.|||use some seafoam in the tanh to clean the inner workings on the carbs.if this doesnt work you will need to rebuild the carbs.its an easy job.carb kit for that bike runs about 35-45 dollars.|||Sounds like it needs the carb cleaned. Not too much to have it fixed. The miles are not too bad if you are buying it to learn on.
