How do I make a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Halloween costume?

My friends and I want to go as the Ninja Turtles and April for Halloween. What should we wear? Are green leggings with green shirts and some sort of shell enough? Where do you think I could get that stuff?|||See a local upholstery or craft supply store - buy a piece of 1-inch foam, spray paint it (carefully and light coats, the paint, if too wet, will dissolve the foam) the colors you want. Cut slits in it, use strips of cloth to make shoulder straps through the slits. Use the spray paint on old shirt and sweat pants - what are ya gonna use them for later anyway?





For April - pretty much any clothing that resembles hers will work - most people will make the connection through association.|||paint your face green, maybe paper mache for the shell, a beige spandex shirt with some cushioning if you don%26#039;t have a six-pack or big muscles (it wouldn%26#039;t look right without muscles..). You%26#039;d need the belt with an emblem, the head band that covers the eyes.. with the slits. Maybe even a hairnet on top of some cardboard, that way you could paint the net green without screwing up your hair... and you%26#039;d look bald.... Hmm.. you%26#039;d need numchucks.. though the easiest weapon to make would probably be the staff.. because you could just tape the ends of a broom stick. also... spandex for the legs and arms.. you could buy green or paint. and you should draw with a black marker some lines of definition to give it a cartoonish sort of look. also you might do something with the cheeks to make them look more ninja turtly. maybe make a mold for the cheek, chin, neck area and paint green. and don%26#039;t forget the undies.





if you take your time you%26#039;ll either look realy cool.... or like a complete maniac.





cowabunga!|||kill a giant turtle for the shell. and paint your body green. and buy your weapons from secret underground weapon dealers|||get some oversized green pajamies and stuff em with whatever.. and use a green plastic garbage lid as a back shell...|||i would make the shell from carboard|||i actually dressed up when i went to the movie when it came out


the leggings and green shirt are a must


also some skating wrist guards, knee pads and elbow pads


i made a shell out of a paper bag but it took a long time


and of course... bandanas with eye holes cut in them|||green face paint


green sweater or long sleeve t-shirt


green track pants


a blind fold with eye holes cut out (color of your fave NT)


Then you need to find some big thing to paper mache to make the shell or you could use a %26quot;flying saucer%26quot;(a ting for in the winter for sliding down snow hills) for your shell.
